Our Story

The founders of RichSource Consulting Group had decades of experience in the Management Consulting and Operational Services world and oversaw many complex and high profile projects. That experience opened their eyes to the flawed approach that many companies have in their ability to efficiently and effectively execute projects without going over their initial budget and project timeline. As they saw the Agile movement grow, they realized many of their clients who tried to adopt the Agile Manifesto, were only “doing Agile” with the same flawed and rigid approach to how they thought about Waterfall initiatives.

RCG’s philosophy is “don’t do agile, BE AGILE!” Many companies were breaking down their cubes for an open workspace, having meetings, just for the sake of having meetings, conforming to the ceremonies and sprints laid out in the Agile playbook, yet, were still failing in their adoption and execution of Agile.

But why?

That is the million dollar question! In theory, Agile works, its dynamic framework allows for flexibility, agility, change and evolution. Yet, the biggest problem is the people in these organizations and on the scrum development teams, not completely buying into Agile and their unwillingness whether knowingly or unknowingly to change their mindset to align with the Agile Scrum framework.

More often than not, IT teams are doing Agile, while their business partners and vendors are still thinking Waterfall. This conflict is definitely an impediment to successful and timely execution and tends to bring a certain level of stress and uncertainty to the scrum development team.

Why RichSource

This is where RichSource Consulting Group comes in. We believe that the people in your company are your most valuable resource, so it is imperative to invest in them, their knowledge, their skillset and their growth if you want to succeed in your projects. Agile Scrum is a living, breathing framework. Its continued success is based on learning from successful implementations on actual projects. RCG recognizes that ongoing training, coaching and mentoring rather than providing simple, one-time training, is the most effective method of educating organizations and their teams in Agile. Our team of consultants is Certified Scrum Professionals (CSP) and Certified Scrum Trainers (CST) experienced in transforming organizations and their teams to Agile. We provide ongoing Agile coaching, mentoring and support top down, from an executive level to the entry level Developer or Business and Quality Assurance analyst. Our Agile development and delivery model has a proven track record of success. Our company and consultants stand apart from many of our peers in the market as a company that will always go above and beyond for our clients, and not only meet, but exceed expectations, upholding our clients values with utmost integrity and respect for their business, people, products and services. RCG’s emphasis on “All for Agile” ensures a firm understanding of the framework in the entire organization and between project teams, and also helps to streamline business processes and alleviate challenges with a thorough understanding of the difference between doing Agile and actually “BEING” Agile.
